One day I felt fine and the next I was on my way into a coma. After being rushed to the hospital where I was informed that I had ‘Sugar’ (as the old folks would say) I knew I had to pivot. This diagnosis took me on a journey to get more informed and to strategize in ways that helped me to reverse the deadly disease that nearly cost me a limb and maybe even my life.
